How your return gets done

  1. 1. Send us your records

Send your statements, receipts and clear photographs of any relevant paperwork.

  2. 2. We put the numbers together

Earnings in, costs out, and a check that nothing claimable has been left behind.

  3. 3. We explain the figures

You see what you earned, what you claimed and what you owe before anything is submitted.

  4. 4. We file it for you

Once you approve the return, we file it with HMRC and confirm what to pay and when.

Costs drivers often forget

Fuel or charging, insurance, your licence and badge fees, vehicle rental or finance, servicing and repairs, tyres, cleaning, breakdown cover, phone and data, app or radio circuit fees, and the bank charges on your work account. What you can claim depends on how you work and how much of it is private use — we go through it with you rather than guessing.

Common questions

When is my tax return due?

The tax year ends on 5 April. An online Self Assessment return is normally due by the following 31 January, which is also usually the payment deadline. We aim to complete your return well before then.

I've never filed one before — is that a problem?

No. If you are not yet registered with HMRC, we can register you as self-employed and explain the next steps.

I'm behind on past years. Can you help?

Yes. Tell us on the call how many years are outstanding and we'll set out a plan to bring you up to date.

What if I get a letter from HMRC?

Send us a photo through your dashboard. We'll tell you what it means and what to do about it.
